Simsbury, CT – The Connecticut Nighthawks are proud to announce that Tristan Plummer has made his commitment to Anna Maria College for the fall of 2018. The rugged defenseman from Scarborough, Maine played a year at Bridgton Academy before joining the USPHL. Tristan played 16 games with the Northern Cyclones before moving to the Nighthawks. Plummer played 23 games for the Nighthawks totaling 2 goals and 12 assists. Head Coach and GM Brett Tryder said, "I had my eye on Tristan for a couple of years. He is a physical player with a real passion for the game. He is definitely ready for the next step and I am happy to see him achieve his goal of playing college hockey. Tristan had a lot of interest from college scouts this year. I think that he made a great decision to attend Anna Maria College. He plays a college style game and I am sure that he will play a big part in building the program at Anna Maria.”
Plummer had some comments on his time with the Nighthawks: “I couldn’t speak more highly about the Nighthawks organization. The coach knows what it takes to get to the next level and I wouldn’t be where I am, without him. You need someone behind you that knows the hockey world, and he does. The organization gives you all the tools that you need to succeed, all you need to do is bring your effort. Two practices a day, workouts, video, and affordable housing. The organization does it right.”
